Boys

Clearwater defeated Winfield 62-31. Jake Wellington had 15 points, all in the first half. Brett Gibbs had 10 points.

Derby defeated McPherson 57-53. Tre Washington scored eight of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, and Amari Thomas hit two free throws in the final 16 seconds.

Maize beat Dodge City 68-39. K.J. Hampton had 13 points, while Kyle Grill had 12. Jacob Hanna had seven rebounds.

Rose Hill beat Caney Valley 55-52 and Koby Campbell scored a game-high 37 points.

Smoky Valley beat Concordia 44-23 with Kennedy scoring a game-high 15.

Girls

Circle beat Parsons 74-17, getting 22 points from Mallory Cowman, 13 from Kimalee Cook and Adie White added 10.

Clearwater beat Winfield 60-45. Carlson led Clearwater with 21 points, while Clevenger had 10. Winfield’s Randall had 20 points.

Dodge City beat Maize 50-47 in OT. It is Dodge City’s first win over Maize since 1999.

Maize was led by Sydney Holmes’ 14 points, while Kyla Frenchers and Cassandra Onwugbufor each had nine. Baylee Miller had 10 rebounds and Homes had four blocked shots and four steals.

Garden Plain beat Chanute 63-35. Madyson Zoglman led Garden Plain with 15 points, while Natasha Dooley had 11 and Kennedy Horacek had 10. Dooley added eight rebounds and Brooke Hammond had four steals.

Halstead beat Minneapolis 45-14 to win the Tri-County tournament.

Haven beat Sunrise 65-40. Natalia Bochenek had 12 points for Sunrise. Haven was led by Kara Matteson’s 16, Faith Paramore’s 23 and Sara Yutzy’s 12. Matteson made 4 of 6 threes and Paramore made 6 of 11. Yutzy had nine rebounds.

Hillsboro beat  Moundridge 51-38 to win the Moundridge tournament.

McPherson, which was missing three starters due to injury, beat Derby 49-40. Kassidy Beam led McPherson with 11 points, while Ella Schmid had nine points, hitting three threes. Grace Pyle added 12 points.

Derby’s Sydney Nilles had 12 points.

Nickerson beat Independent 60-35 to win the Hesston tournament. Ava Jones led Nickerson with 19 points, Kieryn Ontjes had 10 and Morgan Stout 12.

Independent was led by Jayla Kelly’s 15 points.

Salina Central beat Great Bend 69-27. Aubrie Kierscht had 17 points, while Mykayla Cunningham had 11, Kadyn Cobb 10.

Smoky Valley beat Concordia 50-41 with Kerington Haxton leading the way with 16 points and seven assists. Breanna Priddy had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
