Kansas’ first state girls wrestling tournament was today in Salina. Congrats go out to all the wrestlers!

101 pounds — Amanda Newcomb, Osawatomie, dec. Kassidy Leiszler, Concordia, 7-0

109 pounds — Alexis Allen, Independence, pinned Annalisa Cullens, Wellington, 4:42.

116 pounds — Nichole Moore, Nickerson, pinned Kailyn Younger, Paola, 2:27.

*Anayka Besco, Rose Hill, finished third

123 pounds — Jordyn Knecht, Paola, dec. Elise Rose, Marysville, 8-4.

*Maritza Jimenez, Hutchinson, finished third; Mikayla Kondrade, Winfield, finished sixth.

130 pounds — Madyson Gray, Free State, pinned Brianna Randles, Topeka West, 3:57.

136 pounds — Sara Lake, KC Piper, pinned Xara Bacci, Andover Central, 3:37.

*Cheyenne Blackwood, Valley Center, finished fifth.

143 pounds — Livia Swift, Pratt, dec. Kammie Schanz, Mulvane, 3-2.

155 pounds — Morgan Mayginnes, Onaga, pinned Darby Weidl, Ottawa, :44.

170 pounds — Jolie Ziegler, Council Grove, pinned Lyndsey Buechman, Abilene, :31.
