Newton 56, West 53 — Jaxon Brackeen had 20 points to lead Newton, hitting four threes, Owen Mills scored 13 and Dylan Pelz 12. West was led by Keith Gray, who had 19 points, Hezekiah Washington had 12 and AJ McCullough 11.

Northwest 58, Southeast 44 — David Duncan scored a team-high 22 points, hitting four three-pointers, for Northwest. Rone Smith scored 24 points to lead Southeast.

Girls

Halstead 43, Hillsboro 31 — Halstead’s Karenna Gerber had 23 points and six rebounds, and Kaleigh O’Brien had 14 points and five rebounds, three steals. Teegan Werth had 10 points for Hillsboro along with five rebounds.

Kapaun 61, West 6 — Ella Anciaux and Sophia Gimino each scored 11 to lead Kapaun, which had 11 of 13 players score.
