Tonight’s high school basketball scores, recaps (Feb. 4)

Part of the state had 2-3 snow days, so basketball tonight should be interesting.

We are now in the second-half of the regular season — it’s starting to get interesting.

Boys

Abilene 66, Marysville 59

Andover Central 42, Salina Central 34 — Andover Central had a three-point lead after the third quarter. Andover Central’s Kobe Smith scored 16 points. Sid Duplessis had 15 points to lead Salina Central.

Beloit 79, Ellsworth 57

Berean Academy 42, Ell-Saline 30

Bishop Carroll 45, East 38

Buhler 53, Andale 43

Campus 59, Eisenhower 51 — Campus was led by Andrell Burton’s 21 points.

Cheney 65, Douglass 16

Clifton-Clyde 61, Doniphan West 44

Conway Springs 46, Kingman 34

Derby 58, McPherson 52 — Derby hit 6 of 8 free throws in the final 1:23 to seal its win at McPherson. McPherson went on a 12-0 run over the final 4:20 of the second quarter to take a 27-20 lead at the half. The Panthers took the lead for good on a bucket by Jameer Clemons, who scored a game-high 23 points and had seven steals, with 2:41 remaining. Clemons hit 3 of 4 three-pointers and Amari Thomas hit 4 of 7 threes, finishign with 14 points and seven rebounds. Cory Muehler led McPherson with 21 points, four assists and four steals, while Kreighton Kanitz had 10 points.

El Dorado 64, Wellington 60

Elyria Christian 44, Goessel 38

Haven 68, Nickerson 37 — DJ Miller scored 19 points and had six assists, as teammates Dalton Schrag finished with 14, Brant Sipe 12 in the win. Nickerson’s Linn had 13.

Hays 53, Dodge City 34

Hillsboro 63, Pratt 34 — Brekyn Ratzlaff had 22 points and Matthew Potucek 21 for Hillsboro. Potucek had eight steals and Duncan Duel four. Pratt’s Karter Hoeme had 14 points and six rebounds.

Hoisington 62, Halstead 45

Hutchinson 61, Newton 51

Kapaun 61, Wichita South 35 — Henry Thengvall led Kapaun with 24 points and Teagan Charles had 11.

Lakin 64, Cimarron 55 — Servando Gonzalez led Lakin with 40 points.

Little River 47, Canton-Galva 36 — Little River scored 17 of the 19 fourth-quarter points. Christian Darrah led Canton-Galva with 23 points.

Maize South 54, Salina South 44

Medicine Lodge 68, Garden Plain 41

Northwest 56, North 32 — Kee’on Hutton scored 24 points to lead Northwest, and Geremiah Moore added 12.

Norwich 74, Cunningham 55

Remington 56, Hutchinson Trinity 33

Sedgwick 47, Bennington 34 — Joseph Hansen led Sedgwick with 12 points and Jackson Scarlett had 11.

Valley Center 68, Goddard 43 — Noah Simmons scored 15 points, Kade Wilson 14, Dale Petrie 11 and Davin Schmelzle 10 in the win.

Augusta 59, Collegiate 31 — Ella Puckett hit 10 three-pointers for Augusta, a school record.

Cheney 80, Douglass 15 — Korri Lies had 21 points with five three-pointers to lead Cheney. Campbell Hague and Leah Durr scored 16 points and Brooklyn Wewe had 10.

Derby 64, McPherson 36 — Naomi White scored 14 to lead Derby, Maryn Archer had 12 and Addy Brown 10 in the win. Brown had six assists, three steals, two blocks and seven rebounds. Archer had four assists. Karter Alvord had 15 points to lead the Bullpups, and Lauren Labertew had six rebounds.

Doniphan West 39, Clifton-Clyde 30

Garden Plain 58, Medicine Lodge 42 — Ryleigh Stuhlsatz had 19 points and Celia puetz 11, while Brooke Hammond had six rebounds and four steals. Molly Zoglman added four steals. Medicine Lodge’s Rachel Fischer scored 17 poitns and had 11 rebounds, and Aydan Bryan scored 10.

Goddard 45, Valley Center 41 — Marayah Coleman scored 16 points and Maycee James had 14 in Goddard’s win. Halle Brittain had 18 points for Valley Center — hitting five threes and 3 of 3 from the line — and Ali Coash had 11.

Hays 42, Dodge City 40 — Hays’ Aleyia Ruder hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to win.

Hesston 39, Lyons 28

Hillsboro 53, Pratt 31 — Hillsboro’s Savannah Shahan had 17 points, seven rbounds and Zaylee Werth had 12 points, seven rebounds. Pratt’s L. Walker had 17 points.

Hoisington 41, Halstead 30

Hugoton 53, Colby 32 — Mikyn Hamlin had 20 points and Gianna Vos 19 in the win.

Southeast 53, West 33 — Nyah Chandler scored 26 points for Southeast.

Wellington 65, El Dorado 17 — Four Wellington players scored in double figures in the win — Britt Zeka  13, Airalyn Frame and Valerie Norwood with 12, Ali Zeka 11.
