Greater Wichita YMCA Hosting On-Site Hiring Events For Summer Child Care, Camp Positions

The Greater Wichita YMCA is looking to fill more than 75 positions this summer for child care and camp staff. Interested applicants are invited to stop by any of our scheduled hiring events that will be held at Y branches. Appointments are not necessary, and interviews will be held on site. Additional details about the Y’s 175 open lifeguard positions at indoor pools and water parks will be made available on all dates; the Newton and East Y hiring events are exclusively for lifeguards.
ABOUT THE 
POSITIONS: 
 
There are many benefits to working at the Y. The pay range for Child Care and Camp positions is $11-$16 per hour. Staff schedules are between 15-35 hours a week, with the potential for an end-of-summer bonus. Paid training is also offered as well as a free Y membership.

9:30-12:30 PM at the Northwest YMCA, 13838 W. 21st St.                             
3-5 PM at the Newton YMCA, 701 Wheatridge Dr. (lifeguard jobs only)
4-7 PM at the South YMCA, 3405 S. Meridian
 
Wednesday, March 16
4-7 PM at that East YMCA, 9333 E Douglas Ave. (lifeguard jobs only)
 
Thursday, March 17
4:30-7:30 PM at the Andover YMCA, 1115 E. Highway 54   
 
Friday, March 18 
9 AM-Noon at the North YMCA, 3330 N. Woodlawn

PROGRAM: 
 
The Greater Wichita YMCA offers safe, supportive and enriching programs for children that have numerous benefits to the community and working families. The Y is the region’s leading KDHE-licensed child care provider for kids of all ages (two-weeks through their start of school). The Y has the region’s largest, most diverse camp program for youth ages 5-12 with trained staff who lead activities that develop positive values and a greater connection to community.
