Tonight’s high school football scores, recaps (Friday, Nov. 4)

The Derby Panthers rode the coattails of Notre Dame commit Dylan Edwards once again as Edwards dazzled with six touchdowns as the Panthers (8-2) routed the Lawrence Chesty Lions 76-28.

Edwards had five rushing touchdowns – including an 86-yarder – and 206 yards on 13 carries. He also had 87 receiving yards, including a 56-yard touchdown reception. Brock Zerger completed 4 of 4 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns, while also running for 104 yards and two touchdowns.

Maize (10-0) had its hands full early on with Kapaun Mount Carmel and running back Omari Elias. 

The Eagles were up 27-14 at the half and managed to remain solid defensively as they went on to win 43-14. 

Kansas State commit Avery Johnson led the way once again with three touchdowns. 

Running back Daeshaun Carter ran for two touchdowns, as well. 

Wichita Northwest beat Junction City 50-27 to improve to 8-2.

Hutchinson (8-2) advances after a 14-7 grind-it-out win over the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles (7-3).

Cheney moved to 8-2 after their win over Scott City 28-27. 

The Cardinals’ quarterback Josh Burdick accounted for three touchdowns in the win. 

Jackson Voth also had himself a game with eight receptions and 102 yards and two touchdowns, while he became the first player in Cheney school history to pass 1,000 receiving yards in a season. 

McPherson routed Arkansas City 35-0 to improve to 9-1.

Dawson Gottwald rushed 18 times for 116 yards and three touchdowns. 

Salina Central beat Great Bend 40-35. 

The Mustangs move to 8-2. 

Andover Central beat Winfield 45-6 and is 7-3.

Circle took care of business against Coffeyville 34-6 and is 8-2.

SE-Saline remains perfect after its 50-14 rout over Chaparral. 

Kingman is 10-0 after beating Ellsworth 33-6. 

Beloit advances to 8-2 after a 50-14 win over Norton. 

Little River is now 9-1 after a 60-14 win over Madison. 

Valley Center fell to 7-3 after a 28-6 loss to Hays.

Manhattan beat East 48-20. The Aces finish at 6-4.
