Friday’s Wichita-area high school football scores, stats and recaps (Oct. 11)

The Derby Panthers matched up against Valley Center for the first time since 1962 and made sure to welcome the Hornets to AVCTL Division I with a 49-6 win. 

Derby was led by sophomore running back Arieus Finley’s 144 yards and three touchdowns and senior Da’Saahn Brame’s two touchdowns. 

The Panthers are still undefeated at 6-0. 

Andale remains undefeated after a 54-0 win over Smoky Valley, the Indians’ second shutout.

Hesston moves to 6-0 after beating Trinity Academy 55-14. 

Eisenhower keeps on rolling after a 47-13 win over Arkansas City to stay undefeated. 

Cheney gets a 75-7 win over Chaparral and remains undefeated. 

Conway Springs is 6-0 now after beating Sterling 41-14. 

Hesson’s 55-14 win over Trinity Academy puts the Swathers at 6-0.

Sedgwick improved to 6-0 with a 61-29 win over Inman.

Manhattan handed Wichita Northwest its first loss with a 38-17 win.

With Braydon Myovela at quarterback, Maize got its second win of the season in a 55-30 win over Maize South. It was Maize South’s first loss.

Andover Central bounces back and moves to 5-1 after a 31-7 win over Salina Central

Kapaun won the bragging rights for the year after a 42-0 win over their rival Bishop Carroll. The Crusaders are 5-1. 

Haven bounces back after last week’s loss, beating Belle Plaine 49-7 and moving to 5-1. 

Goddard dominates against Salina South 60-10. The Lions are 5-1. 

Mulvane takes care of McPherson 35-21 to move to 5-1. 

Collegiate keeps it rolling after a 35-0 win over Clearwater to move to 5-1.

Garden Plain is 4-2 after a 38-21 win over Kingman
