Valley Center High School, led by head coach Scott L’Ecuyer, brings a prolific passing attack into 2026 built around two record-setting wide receivers. The Hornets’ nominations highlight senior RayJ Logan and junior Spencer Crumrine, both of whom already own school receiving records. Logan, a senior wide receiver, set a school record with 51 catches in 2025, totaling 678 yards and 5 touchdowns. That followed a 2024 season with 38 receptions, 570 yards and 6 scores, giving him 81 career catches—another Valley Center record—and earning him first-team All AVCTL I and all-state recognition from multiple media outlets.
Crumrine has emerged as the next big target in the Hornets’ passing game. As a junior wide receiver, he caught 50 passes for 735 yards—another school record—and 7 touchdowns in 2026, while also earning first-team All AVCTL I and all-state honors. Before transferring to Valley Center, Crumrine was all-league and all-state at Sedgwick in 2025, showing his impact at multiple programs. With Logan’s senior experience and Crumrine’s production, Valley Center’s receiving corps gives the Hornets one of Kansas’ most dangerous aerial attacks heading into the fall.
