Osage City enters its second season of girls flag football as a club team after launching the program in fall 2025 through the Kansas City Chiefs’ pilot program. Osage City was one of 29 schools selected for the pilot, which helped lead to the Kansas State High School Activities Association’s April 2026 vote to adopt flag football as a sanctioned sport in Kansas.
Osage City will remain a club team for the 2026 season and is not eligible for the KSHSAA playoffs. USD 420 opted not to adopt flag football as a varsity sport because of the limited number of schools in the surrounding area that currently offer the sport.
The Indians return seniors Reagan Farwell, Brynna Burd and Tori Dorman, along with a roster that includes seven juniors, two sophomores and four freshmen.
