With a new season comes a clean slate, and the Fredonia Yellowjackets are ready to turn that opportunity into another chapter for a program that has continued to develop its volleyball tradition.
Fredonia enters the 2026-27 season under head coach Kassidy Solander, with the Yellowjackets preparing for another demanding fall schedule. The program includes varsity and junior varsity competition, giving players opportunities to grow while building toward the biggest matches of the season.
For the Yellowjackets, the early portion of the season will be about establishing an identity.
Chemistry will be particularly important as players settle into their roles, learn to trust one another and develop the consistency necessary to compete against some of the area’s strongest programs.
The only player returning that earned all-league accolades last season is junior Ava Baker, who was an honorable mention selection.
The Yellowjackets also have the benefit of a full season to grow together. Early-season mistakes can become valuable lessons, while strong performances can build the confidence needed when league and postseason competition arrives.
Rather than focusing solely on where the team begins, Fredonia’s outlook centers on where the Yellowjackets can be by the end of the fall.
