She was out most of her freshman year white broken foot.”

“As of today, Alisabeth Barton is within 50 points of 1,000 for her career. That is with missing half of the season her freshman year with an injury. Alisabeth is successful in sports other than basketball. She has received postseason awards in volleyball and track at both the league and the state level. Additionally, she has earned all As in her high school academic career. What makes Alisabeth special is that she is as fiercely loyal and compassionate as she is competitive. She has embraced the lessons that sports have taught her in achieving success ‘in the arena’ and has learned to apply them to everyday life. She cares for her teammates and she loves her family. Any coach who gets to coach someone like Alisabeth is blessed.”

She is currently averaging six points, five rebounds, one assist and two steals while shooting 43% from the field.”

“Hayden is a four-year starter for us. She has put a lot of time and effort into becoming the player she is. It is no accident she is having an unbelievable year and all over our school record books. In Hayden’s career here we have played in three sub-state championship games and played in one state game. She is sitting at 27.8 points, 14.6 rebounds, 3.1 blocks and 3.2 steals this year. She currently has the following school records: points in a game (42), rebounds in a game (24), rebounds in a season (245), blocks in a season (59), blocks in a game (7). She went over the 1,000 point scoring mark last year as a junior. She has 783 career rebounds and counting, which will also be a school record for us once her career is over.”

“Isabel has been a three-year starter for us and a four-year varsity player. She is a huge part of the team being in three sub-state championship games in her career along with a state tournament game appearance. She currently has a tie of our school record for three-pointers in a single game with six that she tied as a sophomore. This year she has had two games with five 15 threes in our last four games alone. Isabel has always been a good defender, but she has taken it to a different level this year. She had eight steals in a game earlier this season coming one short of our school record. She is currently averaging 13.6 points, 2.4 assists and 2.2 steals.”

“Kat was named Ad Astra Radio’s Athlete of the Week presented by Hutchinson Community College against Hoisington, Chapman and Nickerson. Blanchat scored 76 points and grabbed 31 rebounds. She had a career-high 30 points against both Nickerson and Chapman. She also had four steals against Hoisington and five more against Nickerson. Blanchat is averaging 20.5 points, 11 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 2.1 blocked shots per game. She also has six double-doubles this season and has averaged 25.5 points per game since the holidays.”

“Kendal is an outstanding student athlete from Hesston. She is a 4.0 student and plans are to attend SW Missouri State after this year and major in medical science.
