Fredonia High School senior Ethan Bryant enters this season with confidence, experience, and a clear vision for what he and his teammates can accomplish. A versatile small forward and shooting guard, Bryant is stepping into a larger role this year, one built on leadership, unselfish play, and the hunger to make a deep postseason run.
After serving as Fredonia’s reliable sixth man last season, Bryant proved he could deliver in big moments, averaging 7.0 points per game and erupting for 24 points in a thrilling triple-overtime substate game against Girard. Though the Yellowjackets came up just short, he views that battle as a chance to grow. “It didn’t go our way, but we learned so much from that game,” he said.
This year, Bryant is driven by several team goals. One is securing a winning record, two is advancing past the second round of substate, and three is winning the Uniontown Tournament for the second straight year. Individually, he wants to uplift everyone around him. “My goals are to get everybody involved this year that’s on the team,” he explained.
One of the things he’s most excited about is starting alongside Kamden Barnett, a teammate he calls “one of the best kids I’ve ever played with all around.” Bryant believes this group’s work ethic and chemistry set them apart. “This whole team has been putting in hard work since last season… we have heart this year, and I feel it can go a long way.”
A three-sport athlete in basketball, baseball, and football, Bryant hopes to earn a scholarship and compete at the college level, though his future plans remain open.
With passion, experience, and a team-first mentality, Ethan Bryant is poised to help lead Fredonia to a memorable season.
