Wichita Southeast senior Cayden Williams is stepping into his final high school season with focus, confidence, and something to prove. As a combo guard who plays both the one and two positions, Williams is determined to showcase his versatility on the court while leading his team to success.

“My goals for this season are to be top five in points per game and three-point shooting percentage,” Williams said. “I’m just ready to play every team and prove all the doubters wrong,” Williams added.

After averaging 14.5 points per game last season, Williams has dedicated his offseason to improving his shooting consistency and efficiency. “I really worked on improving my three-ball to become an automatic shooter,” he shared. That dedication to refining his craft could make him one of the most dangerous perimeter threats in the city this year.

But Williams’ impact goes beyond basketball. Off the court, he’s an active member of Brotherhood, a leadership group at Southeast focused on helping young men grow into thoughtful, responsible leaders. “We have deep conversations to grow us young men into great minds,” Williams explained.

Looking ahead, Williams plans to continue his education and is interested in studying sports journalism in college, a field that will allow him to stay connected to the game he loves.

As the season tips off, Williams is ready to lead, compete, and make his mark. With his work ethic, confidence, and drive to improve, he’s poised to turn heads and finish his high school career on a high note.
