The Bishop Miege Stags enter the 2026 volleyball season looking to continue one of the most successful traditions in Kansas high school volleyball.
Bishop Miege has won 29 state championships, including three consecutive Class 4A titles entering the 2025 season. The Stags claimed their most recent championship in 2024, defeating Rock Creek in the title match.
Lindsay Zych Franco remains at the helm of the program. Zych Franco took over at Miege after leading Lansing to the Class 5A state championship in 2021 and has guided the Stags to multiple state titles.
Back for Miege this season are Maryn Dean and Olivia Stevens – both second team all-league selections last season. Also returning for the Stags is honorable mention all-league performer Mayley Morrison.
The Stags will face a challenging schedule that includes Eastern Kansas League opponents St. James Academy, Blue Valley, Blue Valley Southwest and Blue Valley West, along with matchups against St. Teresa’s Academy, St. Michael the Archangel and Shawnee Mission East.
With a championship pedigree and a demanding schedule ahead, Bishop Miege will look to develop throughout the season and make another postseason run.
