At Campus High School, junior Jagger Starbird is ready to make a major impact this basketball season. As a forward, Starbird has spent the offseason preparing to elevate both his own game and his team’s performance on the court. With a strong work ethic and clear goals, he’s determined to help the Colts compete with anyone they face.

“My goal this season is to help my team grow and win this year,” Starbird said. “I’m looking forward to playing every team on our schedule. I think we can compete all around.” That team-first mentality has become a driving force for Starbird as he steps into a leadership role as an upperclassman.

During the offseason, Starbird focused on improving key areas of his game. “I worked a lot on getting bigger, better defense, and still keeping my shot,” he said. “I’ve been working on my game all summer, and I’m ready for the season.” That dedication shows in his confidence and consistency, especially in his shooting, Starbird’s favorite stat from last year. “My shooting percentage is something I’m really proud of,” he added.

Starbird’s combination of size, skill, and shooting ability makes him a versatile player capable of stretching the floor and defending multiple positions. His offseason focus on physical development and defense should help him make an even bigger impact this year.

Looking beyond high school, Starbird has big dreams both on and off the court. “I really look forward to finding a school where I can play basketball while learning about aviation,” he said. “It would be cool to do both.” With his drive and determination, Starbird is poised for a standout season and an exciting future ahead.
