Canton-Galva junior Jaxon Nightingale is entering his 11th-grade year with big goals and a strong mindset. As a two-way starter at tight end and linebacker, Nightingale is ready to take on a leadership role both on and off the field. “One of my biggest goals this year is to be a good teammate and leader,” he told Vype Magazine.
After a season of growth last year, Nightingale is excited about what’s ahead. “We were a really young team last year, and I’m looking forward to seeing how much we’ve improved,” he shared. “We’ve all been working hard in the weight room this summer, and I can’t wait for us to get out on the field and have fun together.”
Nightingale’s dedication to the game has already earned him recognition. During his sophomore year, he received honorable mention on both offense and defense in the Wheat State League. This season, his sights are set even higher. “I’m working toward making First Team this year,” he said confidently.
In addition to football, Nightingale stays busy year-round, competing in basketball during the winter season and track and field in the spring. He also participates in Canton-Galva’s local FFA chapter. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue his athletic journey in college, combining his love for sports with further education.
With hard work, team spirit, and a clear sense of purpose, Jaxon Nightingale is ready to make his junior year one to remember. Not just for himself, but for the Canton-Galva football team and community.
