As a senior, Circle’s Kendyl Acker plays catcher and first base and hopes to help lead her team to success this year.
“We have big goals this season and we have a lot of returning experience. I am looking forward to seeing how the team grows together! We are blessed with so much talent and have already accomplished so much together but we are not done yet and I am excited to see everyone working hard for common goals,” Acker said
This offseason, Acker focused on many different facets of her game in hopes to become even more well-rounded this season.
“I have been taking weekly hitting lessons since summer ball ended. I also started a 12-week catching program. I have been working on my strength and conditioning every week in the weight room as well,” Acker said.
As a senior and a leader, Acker made it her goal to work on her positivity and communication.
“I want to use that to encourage a competitive, positive team dynamic throughout the entire season! I want to continue to help build a strong mental game for not only myself but also my teammates, as well as strengthening team culture! Dug outs win games,” Acker said.
Acker is more than ready for her senior year. She is motivated because she knows the potential that her team has this season.
“Not only are we stacked with talent as a team, but I truly believe we have great leadership and have all the pieces needed to make a great run at a state title,” Acker said.
