Riverton, coached by Danny Weaver, will again lean on a versatile backfield duo that drove the offense last fall. Weaver’s nominations spotlight quarterback Aydin Witherspoon and tailback Noah Parker, a pair the coach refers to as a two-headed monster. Witherspoon, described as an amazing athlete, moved to quarterback after three games in 2025 and quickly became a strong leader at the position as the staff adapted the offense around him. Before that move he played running back and slot receiver so Riverton could get the ball in his hands in as many different ways as possible. By season’s end he led the team in receiving yards and ranked second in rushing behind Parker, while also contributing as an athletic safety on defense.
Parker gives Riverton a physical, downhill presence in the run game. He rushed for more than 1,000 yards as part of the two-headed monster alongside Witherspoon, and coaches say he “knows nothing but full speed 100% of the time.” On defense, Parker was arguably the best outside linebacker in the league, leading the Rams in tackles and forcing opponents to eventually run away from his side. Weaver calls him a great SEK two-way player who leads the team on both sides of the ball. With Witherspoon’s versatility and Parker’s physicality, Riverton’s backfield gives the Rams a tough identity heading into 2026.
