Frontenac High School senior Joslynn Ashbacher returns to the basketball court this season with a fresh mindset, renewed excitement, and big goals for her final year. Primarily a post player who can step into point guard duties when needed, Ashbacher brings a rare combination of size, skill, and versatility to the Raiders’ roster.

After choosing not to play last year and making a last-minute decision to return, Ashbacher sees this season as a personal comeback. Instead of looking back on stats, she’s motivated by the clean slate ahead of her. Her top goals are to build self-confidence and raise her shooting percentage, two areas she’s committed to improving throughout the season.

One of the biggest things she’s looking forward to is competing with a new group of teammates who bring energy and excitement to the game. Their chemistry has already made practices more enjoyable, and that positive environment will translate into strong performances on the court.

When it comes to matchups, one game stands above the rest. The game against the rival school, Girard. As one of Frontenac’s biggest rivals, the energy surrounding that matchup fuels her competitive fire, and she’s eager to face them again.

Though she didn’t have a traditional offseason or structured workouts, Ashbacher is embracing the challenge of rebuilding and redefining her game. Her focus is on growth, improvement, and making her senior year one to be proud of.

After high school, Ashbacher plans to attend esthetician school. She also stays active outside of basketball, having played golf, is considering throwing in track, and participates in Pep Club.

With determination and a renewed love for the game, Joslynn Ashbacher is ready to make her senior season unforgettable.
