Independence’s Harlin Bagley – Soccer Poll Winner – Presented by Visit Wichita

Harlin Bagley made his mark on the Independence Bulldogs’ season early, scoring the opening goal against Chanute with a perfectly placed chip over the goalkeeper. As he wraps up his senior year, Bagley hopes to leave an impact that extends beyond the scoreboard.

Bagley won the Preseason Boys Soccer Poll in Southeast Kansas.

“This season has been a fun experience playing with everyone for my senior year,” Bagley said.

Bagley entered the season determined to improve physically, spending the offseason building his strength and endurance. He has seen that work pay off during matches, helping him contribute throughout his final high school campaign.

One moment, however, stands out above the rest. His chip shot against Chanute to open the season gave Bagley a memorable highlight and a moment he will carry with him beyond his time with the Bulldogs.

With the postseason approaching, Bagley and his teammates are focused on continuing to develop and identifying areas where they can improve. The goal is to make the most of the remaining games while building momentum for the program’s future.

As a senior, Bagley also recognizes the importance of helping the younger players prepare for what comes next. He has made an effort to lead by example and give the underclassmen a foundation they can build on next season.

Looking ahead, Bagley hopes the Bulldogs can use this year’s experience as motivation to compete for a Southeast Kansas League title next season.

As he closes this chapter of his high school career, Bagley’s focus remains on helping his teammates improve, finish strong and continue raising expectations for Independence soccer.
