Little River’s Kal-El Robinson – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Horizon Real Estate

For most athletes, pressure can be overwhelming, but for Little River’s Kal-El Robinson—named after Superman—pressure is part of the process. It’s something he embraces rather than avoids. For Robinson, pressure is earned through preparation, and it’s where he believes his best performances come.

“We compete in practice every day and push each other,” Robinson said.

That competitive mindset has helped shape Robinson into not just a competitor, but a leader. Whether in practice or on game day, his focus remains the same: bringing effort, staying locked in and trusting the work.

“No matter what is going on, I always try to compete the best I can,” Robinson said.

The senior’s approach also carries over into how he impacts those around him. He leads by example, setting the tone with his energy and work ethic while pushing his teammates to match that standard. It’s not about being the loudest voice, but about being someone others can rely on.

“I want to make it to state in every event,” Robinson said.

For the Little River senior, his track days may be coming to an end, but he will still bring his competitive mindset into his next endeavors. His plan after high school is to attend Hutchinson Community College to earn an associate degree in accounting and then transfer to Kansas University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.
