Little River’s Spencer Strecker – Baseball Poll Winner – Presented by WSU Tech

By Matt Browning

The 2025 baseball season is going to be a little more special for Spencer Strecker of Little River.

“The biggest thing I’m excited about would have to be that I get to play with my brother Camden for the first time, because he will be a freshman,” Strecker said. “My younger brother in seventh grade, Jamison, will also get to be a manager.”

On the mound last season, Strecker had an ERA of 3.62, 36 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched.

This season, Strecker has his sights set on an ERA under three with 40-plus strikeouts.

“I cannot wait to get back out on the mound and pitch again,” Strecker said. “I feel like we have a lot of talent on our team this year, and I think we will have a great season. This is also my last year of HS baseball, so I am also going to go out and have fun with it.”

Strecker wasn’t able to pitch this past summer due to an elbow injury, so he spent most of his time lifting and rehabbing his arm.

“I have been going through a pitching/lifting program made by Full Send Performance out of Pennsylvania, and it has helped me tremendously,” Strecker said. “Carter Hohn is my guy behind the scenes, and he has been helping me out with everything pitching-wise since I was in middle school. I have been working out during the winter with a more mobilital regiment, just trying to be loose and comfortable with my mechanics as I ramp back up from the injury.”
