As a senior at McPherson High School, Brooke Doile is entering her final volleyball season with focus, leadership, and no shortage of ambition. Spending time as an outside hitter and defensive specialist, Doile plays a vital role on a Bullpup squad, all who have their eyes set on a deep postseason run. “As a team, we plan to make a run at state and put ourselves in a position to do so,” Doile shared with Vype Magazine. “Personally, I just want to give 100% to every play and finish my high school career without regrets.”

While the team isn’t able to play in their iconic Roundhouse this year, Doile is still excited for their upcoming home matches at McPherson College and is especially looking forward to the October away tournament, a trip that includes a fun team tradition at the pumpkin patch.

Doile brings a wealth of experience from high-level club volleyball, having competed in national tournaments in Indianapolis, Omaha, and Dallas during the offseason. She and her team also put in serious offseason work through summer weights and tournaments. “We don’t get summers off,” she says.

Her dedication shows in the accolades she has earned. Last season she was named First Team All-League, Second Team All-State, and All-Tournament Team at state. But Doile’s proudest stat, is her serve receive. Over the years, Doile has been able to maintain a 2.3 serve receive rating even with receiving just under 2,000 serves. “If we can’t pass, we can’t do anything else in games.”

Doile has committed to Johnson County Community College to continue her volleyball and academic journey. She’s been a standout softball player on the Bullpups undefeated team last season and will soon be gear up for basketball season. In school, she stays active with STUCCO and the International Club.
