Jeremaine Conley – Meade
A Complete Receiver
For Meade, explosive plays through the air often had the same result: the ball in the hands of a dynamic sophomore. Wide receiver Jeremaine “Maine” Conley gave the Buffaloes a big-play threat in the eight-man game, stretching defenses vertically and winning in traffic.
Head coach Clint Kuhns laid out both his production and his mentality. “Jeremaine is only a sophomore but was in the top 10 in the state for receiving yards in 8-man. He is 6-1, 165lbs. He ended this season with 727 yards on 35 receptions (20.77 yds/rec) and average 72.70 yards per game. He also scored 13 touchdowns for us this season. Jeremaine (Maine) can run every route on the tree. He has great hands with a giant catch radius and does a fantastic job going up and high pointing 50-50 balls. The thing that I am most proud of with Maine is that he does the dirty work. He makes sure he is getting a block on every play and busting it to get down field to try and throw that last block to spring his teammate. He takes every rep serious and puts in so much hard work into getting better every day.”
Averaging more than 20 yards per catch with 13 touchdowns as a sophomore is impressive on its own. Add in his willingness to block and do the “dirty work,” and Conley becomes the kind of complete receiver coaches build around.
