Moundridge’s Logan Wulf – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by The Hub Brick Oven & Brewery

The 2026 football season represents more than just another year on the field for Logan Wulf of Moundridge. It is the culmination of years of hard work, dedication and growth alongside teammates who have shared the journey with him since their youth football days.

As a senior, Wulf is eager to see what his team can accomplish with a veteran group leading the way.

“I’m really excited because we have a big group of returning seniors who have been putting in the work together for a long time,” Wulf said. “A lot of guys are stepping into new roles this year, so it’ll be exciting to play alongside them and see what we can accomplish as a team.”

Wulf is also encouraged by the younger players who have emerged through the program.

“I’m looking forward to playing next to some younger guys who have proven they’re willing to work hard and compete,” he said.

The Wildcats enter the season motivated by lessons learned from last year’s challenges. Wulf believes those experiences will help the team take another step forward.

“Another thing I’m excited about is getting another shot at some of the teams we played last year,” he said. “We learned a lot from those games, and I think we’re ready to correct our mistakes, play harder and show how much we’ve improved.”

Preparing for his final high school season has required a significant commitment. Wulf has spent the offseason balancing football workouts with powerlifting, track and field, and opportunities to compete at college prospect camps.

“I’ve been lifting consistently, doing football workouts, powerlifting and track,” Wulf said. “I’ve also attended college prospect camps to compete and learn from coaches.”

His offseason focus centered on becoming a more complete athlete, particularly in the areas of speed and technique.

“I want to improve my speed and overall technique,” Wulf said. “During the offseason I’ve focused on footwork, mobility, conditioning and getting stronger in the weight room.”

The hard work is nothing new for Wulf. A four-year varsity football player and three-year letterman, he has established himself as a leader within the Wildcats program. Away from football, he has excelled in the classroom as an Honor Roll student and has set multiple school powerlifting records, including a 550-pound squat, a 315-pound hang clean and a school record in the pro-agility shuttle. He also unofficially surpassed the state squat record.

Despite the individual accomplishments, Wulf’s focus remains on the team’s success and making the most of his final season.

“As a senior, I know this is my last opportunity to play high school football,” he said. “My goal is to have a ‘burn the ships’ mindset, knowing there’s no saving anything for later.”

That mindset has become his guiding principle heading into the season.

“I want to leave everything on the field every game so that when the season is over, our team can look back knowing we gave everything we had and have no regrets,” Wulf said.
