Piper Volleyball – Team Spotlight – Presented by Preferred Physical Therapy Kansas City

The Piper volleyball team is facing a competitive 2026 season with a roster that combines returning experience with younger players looking to establish themselves for the Pirates.

Piper is led by head coach Lori Angello, who has guided the program through multiple seasons of United Kansas Conference competition. The Pirates roster features many new faces, as several key seniors graduated from last season’s team.

The lone returning all-league player for the Pirates is first team all-league selection Myrsa Greenamyre.

The Pirates have already faced a challenging schedule this season, including competition against programs such as Blue Valley, Hayden and Gardner-Edgerton. Piper also has upcoming matches against Shawnee Mission West, Lansing and other area opponents as the regular season continues.

For Piper, the goal throughout the season remains continued growth, stronger team chemistry and finding ways to compete against some of the area’s top programs.
