Andover 68, Wichita Southeast 57 — Owen Allman and Josh Kim each scored 22 and Josh Kim had 22 to lead Andover in the win. Southeast was led by Preston Dinh’s 14 points, Parker Hardgrave’s 13 and Jamarkus Robinson’s 10.
Derby 62, Wichita Northwest 58 — Derby remains unbeaten after handing Northwest its first loss. It was a back-and-forth game, multiple runs by both teams. Derby went up 54-42 for its biggest lead with 5:06 to go on free throws from Jack Ulwelling. But Northwest went on a 15-5 run to get to within 59-57 with 1:27 to go. Derby missed four straight free throws, but Cayden Titus sealed the win with two free throws with 11.4 seconds remaining. Ulwelling hit four threes and scored a game-high 27 points, scoring 21 in the second half, including 12 in the fourth quarter. Titus had 10 points, five rebounds. Jaxon Malvo had six rebounds, five offensive. Northwest’s DJ Brown scored nine of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, and Peters scored 16. Eli Benning had eight rebounds, Peters and Darian Hammond six rebounds apiece.
Kapaun 67, Andover Central 47 — Kapaun led by eight heading into the first quarter and had a 17-point lead at the half. Corbin Johnson scored a game-high 25 points as Kapaun got the win, and Corey Daniels had 12. Andover Central’s Jayden Brown scored 19 points.
Solomon 51, Goessel 13
Wichita East 60, Eisenhower 56 OT — East’s Oliver Selmon scored six of his 14 points in the overtime. The Aces were led by Luke Henderson, who scored 17, Ismael Berry 12 and Jayden Philips-Gray 11. Pierce Blue scored 19 and Romari Howard 18 for Eisenhower.
Girls
Andover Central 76, Kapaun 71 — Andover Central’s Taylin Tabor hit eight three-pointers and finished with 28 points in the Jaguars’ win. Payton Converse scored 20 and Reese Wilborn made four three-pointers, finishing with 18 points. Zoey Buckner-Franklin scored a game-high 38 for Kapaun and Ellie Knipp 11.
Derby 74, Wichita Southeast 46 — Derby scored the game’s first 21 points as Macayla Askew scored 10 of her game-high 31 points in the period. The Panthers held Southeast to six fourth-quarter points. Askew, who had a game-high 12 rebounds, hit 13 of 18 from the field, including 3 of 3 from three-point range. Nine players scored for Derby, including five with five or more points. Kallie Rickords and Alex Dinsmore each had eight rebounds. Southeast’s Alana Webb hit 12 of 20 from the field, including 6 of 9 from three, and finished with a team-high 24 points.
Goessel 52, Solomon 34 — Abbigail Funk scored 20 to lead Goessel, Delaney Duerksen had 15 points and Brooklyn Wuest had seven rebounds.
Wichita East 51, Eisenhower 42 — Amiyah Davis and Haylei Davis had 12 and 10 points for East. Payton Blue scored 12 and Hannah Bedore had 10 for Eisenhower.
