St. Thomas Aquinas’ Lincoln Boyle- Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Preferred Physical Therapy Leawood

By Ken Hansard

Lincoln Boyle has built a reputation as one of the premier players in Kansas high school baseball, and his senior season at Saint Thomas Aquinas is shaping up to be a memorable one. A standout outfielder and right-handed pitcher, Boyle enters the year not only as a proven performer, but also as a leader determined to guide the Saints toward a historic third straight state title. “I am looking forward to being a senior leader on my team this year, and working at our goal of a 3 Peat,” Boyle said.

That leadership role is especially important for a team integrating new talent, and Boyle embraces the responsibility. “We have a lot of new guys on the team. I think it is crucial to show them how we do things,” he said. “I also see myself pitching a lot of innings on the mound, and driving in a lot of runs at the plate.”

Boyle’s resume backs up his confidence. He was a key contributor to back-to-back 5A state championship teams in 2024 and 2025, helping lead Aquinas to a 27-4 record last season and a 7-1 mark in the Eastern Kansas League. Individually, he earned 2025 5A Pitcher of the Year honors, along with EKL First Team recognition as both a pitcher and outfielder and All-State honors on the mound. He posted a .400 batting average with a .504 on-base percentage, five home runs, and 40 RBIs, while also recording eight wins, a 1.83 ERA, and 68 strikeouts in his time on the hill.

One game that still stands out came against Blue Valley West. “Last year we went into the 11th inning, and I had a walk off single to end the game,” Boyle recalled. Focused on improvement, Boyle worked this offseason to better drive the ball to the opposite field, training with Karl Carswell. With a 3.8 GPA and a commitment to the University of Arkansas, Boyle’s future is bright. For now, though, his sights are singularly set on one primary goal: “My ultimate goal is to win back-to back-to-back state championships with my team.”
