Kansas Turnpike Authority & VYPE have a design contest for your students!
- Updated: February 25, 2021
We are excited to announce the sixth annual Work Zone Awareness Week design contest for Kansas teens in grades 8-12.
This contest is a fun, interactive way for educators to incorporate instruction on art, design, and creative software into their class, whether in-person or virtual.
National Work Zone Awareness Week https://www.nwzaw.org/ held the last week of April, promotes safety while traveling through work zones. Teens are in their formative driving years and these contests help us reach them to encourage safe driving practices.
Visit our website https://www.ksturnpike.com/contests for the information you need to know to enter our design contest. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 11. The winning teen will receive a $200 gift card and have their work published in VYPE Magazine, the high school sports magazine for south and north central Kansas including Wichita and Salina surrounding areas.
We kindly ask for you to pass this information on to your fellow educators and students to help us reach teens about the importance of work zone driving safety.
