TEAM PREVIEW
A trio of all-league players will anchor Salina South’s defense. Defensive back A.J. Johnson (6-2, 185) was selected to the first team last year and will likely play on offense, too. Linebacker Carter Kirby (5-10, 176) was selected to the second team last year and interior lineman Kayson Dietz (5-11, 305) was on his way to being an all-league player last season before a torn hamstring ended his season after five games. On offense, junior running back, Brandt Cox (6-1 195), was forced into a starting job last year and made the most of it as he made second team all-league.
Quarterback Terran Galloway (5-11, 168) played most of last year injured and Sellers thinks if he stays healthy, he could be in for a big year.
