2019 Girls state tennis results: Kapaun, Collegiate win team titles

Class 5A

Kapaun Mount Carmel won the 5A team title and went 1-2 in singles. Clara Whitaker won the singles title again, beating teammate Reagan Boleski.

Carroll’s Paige Stranghoner beat Salina Central’s Callie Sandborn for third. Salina South’s Robyn Logan took fifth beating Andover’s Emma Sinclair.

McPherson’s Taylor Bruce-CeAnna Allen won the doubles title to finish the season unbeaten.

Arkansas  City’s Jacey Arnett-Ellie Messenger beat Carroll’s Hope Lubbers-Heidi Lubbers for third.

Salina South took second, while Andover was third.

Class 4A

Collegiate won the team title with 55 points, while Buhler took second with 33.

Collegiate’s Emma Mantovani won the singles title, beating Circle’s Annabelle Adams in three sets.

Collegiate’s Sonya Murphy beat Trinity Academy’s Isabella Sebits for third.

Hesston’s Halle Krehbiel beat Buhler’s Brittany Teufel for fifth.

Wellington’s Kylie Aufdengarten-Rylie Rusk recovered from a first-set loss to win the doubles title, beating Collegiate’s Sallie Lair-Lily Conrad.

Collegiate’s Stephanie Gentile-Sophie Yoakum took third by beating Buhler’s Payton DeMeyer-Alex Hutton.

Class 3-2-1A

Conway Springs’ Kara Koester-Karlee Osner won the doubles title and helped the Cardinals take third as a team.

Sterling’s Kinzie Comley-Aubrey Anderson took third.
