Chadwick honored by The Wichita Eagle

Joanna Chadwick, who is currently a contributor to VYPE Magazine and vype.com, was included in The Wichita Eagle’s Top 50 Most Influential People in the Wichita Sports Community list.

Chadwick has spent 20 years as a high school sports reporter and was behind the creation of Varsity Kansas, which is The Eagle’s high school sports brand.

Along with writing stories for VYPE, Chadwick is currently a journalism teacher at Derby High School, where she will start her fifth year in August.

Chadwick’s husband, Bryan, who teaches special education at Derby North Middle School, was listed with Joanna. Bryan is a longtime teacher and coach in the Wichita area. Both he and Joanna have been valued influences in the Wichita community.

“It’s always nice to be recognized for the work I have done,” Chadwick said. “I loved covering high school sports for The Eagle for 20 years and I appreciate VYPE allowing me to write about athletes across the state of Kansas.”
