Senior Spotlight: Kapaun girls basketball

This is an occasional series spotlighting senior athletes. If you want to see your favorite seniors highlighted, email joannachadwick20@gmail.com.

Kapaun Mount Carmel has two seniors on its girls basketball team: Ella Anciaux, who has signed to play at Wichita State, and Jennifer Jacobs. Coach Billy Graf breaks down both players’ games on and off the court.

Ella Anciaux: “Ella is one of the very best people I’ve coached at any level. She is an incredible worker, an incredible leader and just one of the most genuine, caring kids I’ve been around. She is averaging 16.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 2.5 assists a game.”

Jennifer Jacobs: “Jennifer is a true gym rat who loves the game. She has great length and even though she is usually taller, is athletic enough to guard anyone on the floor. She has worked so hard on her offensive game and has developed into a legitimate threat from anywhere on the floor. She is averaging 12.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1 block per game.”

“They are both near the top of their class in GPA and are active in volunteer work.”
