South Haven’s Sydney Hallman – Athlete of the Month Presented By Sumner County Community Drug Action Team

Senior Sydney Hallman first got involved with SCCDAT when she was only a sophomore. She had no idea it would turn into a threeyear
relationship helping people in her community.

“I got involved with SCCDAT my sophomore year of high school. The thing I have enjoyed the most is getting to work with other kids from my community to advocate for something very meaningful to a lot of people,” said Hallman.

Also involved in FFA as well as being part of the student council, Hallman feels it’s important to share the message of SCCDAT to her
community.

“I feel it is important to get the SCCDAT message out to the people in my community because just a one-time use of any type of drug or alcohol could ruin a person’s life,” said Hallman. “For the 2020 school year I plan on continuing to advocate and get involved with the community as much as possible. During these times there are so many people who are struggling with their lives.”
