State Girls Swimming Recap

The Bishop Carroll girls swimming team won the 5-1A Championship, winning by 45 points over Kapaun Mount Carmel.

The Eagles’ Zoe Winter won the 100 butterfly, while their 200 relay (Lexie Biby Cadence Means, Natalee Clark and Karis Reynaga) and 400 relay (Alex Bailey, Rachel Bailey, Winter and Reynaga) took first as well.

The Crusaders’ Claire Conover won the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly, while their 200-medley relay team (Sydney Le, Conover, Lily Valentas and Sydney Turner) took first.

Andover’s Natalie Neugent won the 50 and 100 freestyle. The Trojans took sixth as a team.

Ariana Dirkzwager from Wichita East won the 50 and 100 freestyle events, while the Aces’ 200 freestyle relay team (Baylor McPherson, Sophia Randle, Abby Jones and Dirkzwager) also took first. The Aces finished sixth as a team.
