Tonight’s high school football scores, recaps (Oct. 14)

Andale beat Cheney 32-0 and is 7-0 after quarterback Wyatt Spexarth kept the Indians rolling with two touchdowns. Andale had 382 yards of total offense. 

Cheney is 5-2.


The Maize Eagles continued their winning ways and moved to 7-0 with a 41-13 win over a tough Hutchinson Salthawks team. 

Avery Johnson led the way again with three touchdowns, continuing his terror on the AVCTL I. 

Daeshaun Carter and Tayveon Williams each had a touchdown. The potent ground game is important as defenses continue to try and key in on Johnson, the Kansas State commit.


Wichita Northwest took care of business once again with a 76-12 win over West. 

After the Grizzlies took their lumps in the first week against Bishop Carroll, they have been on an absolute tear. They have scored 381 points, putting up 79, 81 and 76 points in the past three weeks.


Valley Center held off the Ark City Bulldogs to improve to 6-1. 

The Hornets won 31-21. 


McPherson improved to a 6-1 record after its 46-21 win over Mulvane. 

Jaytin Gumm led the way with two touchdowns as the Bullpups secured a senior night win. 


Derby and Dylan Edwards took care of Maize South on the road 55-7. 

Edwards, the Notre Dame commit, added to his season total with four more touchdowns. He also finished with 144 rushing yards, while quarterback Brock Zerger had 118 passing yards and a touchdown, along with 117 rushing yards and a 65-yard touchdown.


Conway Springs got the huge win over previously unbeaten Inman 35-14. 

Brayden Kunz led the way for the Cardinals with 287 yards on 34 carries, which resulted in three rushing touchdowns. Kunz also had a pick-6 for Conway. 

The Cardinals have now won four straight. ‘


In a tight game Bishop Carroll took care of a tough Wichita Heights team 28-26. 


Salina Central took care of Goddard, ending the Lions’ three-game streak with a 47-42 win. 

Central is 5-2. 


After a 21-3 win over Rose Hill, Buhler has won four straight to improve to 4-3. 


Kingman won 42-0 to continue its unbeaten season.


Hesston advanced to 5-2 after an easy win against Chapman 43-22. 


Little River took care of Pretty Prairie 54-0 to move to 6-1 on the season. 


Southeast Saline put up 94 points in a shutout as it remained undefeated after a win over Lyons.


Wichita Independent bounced back with a 66-48 win over Central-Burden to improve to 6-1.
