Boys

Andover beat Andale 59-41 thanks to a big second quarter when Andover outscored the Indians 22-9. In the other three periods, Andover had the edge 37-32.

Jack Johnson had a game-high 23 points, hitting four three-pointers and 7 of 8 free throws. Harper Jonas added 13.

Baron Biermann led Andale with 14, and Nilles had 10.

Belle Plaine beat Sedgwick 55-44 with Austin Hilton scoring 23.

Derby beat Ark City 86-30. Derby outrebounded Ark City 45-29 and forced 31 turnovers. Devin Arujao had four steals, while Blake Chadwick and Jameer Clemons added three apiece.

Isaac Ray scored a game-high 14 points, while Amari Thomas, Clemons and Tre Washington each had 10.

East handled Southeast 76-44, getting 30 points from Fontaine Williams. James King had 15, Amos Alford 11 and Myles Reed 10.

Southeast was led by Micah Jacques’ 13 and Jackie Johnson’s 11.

Halstead beat Ell-Saline 66-23. Cameron Kohr led Halstead with 20, while Lakin Farmer had 18.

McPherson beat Andover Central 52-47. McPherson’s Seth Madron had 16 points, while Hayes Schmid had 14 and Cody Stufflebean had 12.

Andover Central was led by Jerome Washington’s 15 points, Xavier Bell’s 17 and Shomari Parnell’s 10.

Newton beat Dodge City 87-78 with Jaheem Ray scoring 20 points . Jaxon Brackeen added 16, Alex Krogmeier 13, Kolyn Sauceda 12 and Owen Mills 10. Krogmeier also had seven rebounds and four steals.

Shannen Barajas led Dodge with 24 points, hitting 11 of 13 shots.

Rose Hill beat Garden Plain 68-48 with Koby Campbell scoring 31.

Little River’s Jayden Garrison had 28 points and Braxton Lafferty had 14.

Wellington beat Chaparral 53-47. Meyer had a game-high 27 points for Wellington, while Swartz and Wootonn each had 11 for Chaparral.

Girls

Circle beat Independence 46-34, getting 17 points from Kimalee Cook, 11 apiece from Mallory Cowman and Lanna Chase.

Derby beat Ark City 81-21 with freshmen Addy Brown and Maryn Archer scoring 15 of the first 19 points. Archer finished with 18, while Brown had 15 and Heather Mills had a career high 16. Tatum Boettjer had eight rebounds.

Espy Daniels led Ark City with 12 points.

Garden Plain beat Rose Hill 60-32. After giving up 11 first-quarter points, Garden Plain held the Rockets to 21 the rest of the game.

Ali Puetz led Garden Plain with 19, while Madysen Zoglman had 16 and Brooke Hammond had 11. Puetz also had nine rebounds, and Brooke Hammond and Christa Rose Gorges each had four steals.

Thrush led Rose Hill with 10 points.

Goddard beat Campus 50-26. Brooke Sullivan had a game-high 21 points, with 16 in the first half. Nunez added 14, all in the second half. Thanasouk led Campus with 10.

Haven shut out Kingman in the second quarter en route to a 49-12 win. Carlee Arnold, Faith Paramore and Sara Yutzy each scored 10 for Haven. Arnold added six steals.

Nickerson beat Hesston 41-36. Ava Jones and Morgan Stout each had 16 for Nickerson, while Hesston’s Elise Kasier had 22 points.

Smoky Valley beat SE-Saline 55-47. Breanna Priddy and Kerington Haxton each ahd 15 points, while Priddy added another 10 rebounds. Ellie Brumbaugh had 10 points, five asssists.  Carsen Schlesener and Orr each had 11 for SE-Saline.
