Week 4 football scores, recaps (Sept. 24)

Once again the Derby Panthers impressed and flexed their dominance in a 77-7 win over Salina South.

 The Panthers led 70-0 at halftime thanks to four rushing touchdowns from junior running back Dylan Edwards. Edwards ran for 132 yards on seven carries.
Panther quarterback Mercer Thatcher added two on the ground and one in the air to cap off his night. 

Weston Fries threw for 113 yards for Salina South.

Derby moves to 3-0. 

Kapaun moved to 4-0 as the Crusaders took care of business against Great Bend 42-7. 

Andale continued its winning ways after a 58-0 win over Halstead

Junior Wyatt Spexarth led the way for the Indians with a rushing and passing touchdown. 

McPherson beat Winfield 21-14 in overtime to stay undefeated.

Junior Jaytin Gumm rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns. 

Cheney and quarterback Harrison Voth had their way against Hugoton en route to a 49-7 win. 

Voth accounted for six touchdowns. 

Maize South stays undefeated with a 49-34 win over Campus. 

Evan Cantu led Maize South with 315 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

Arkansas City upset the previously undefeated Maize Eagles 24-17.  Arkansas City is 2-2 and has won two straight. 

Ark City scored twice in the last two minutes of the first half for the 14-3 lead.

Andover Central beat Goddard 41-13. 

Central was up 14-13, and then an absolute barrage of points came the Jaguars’ way as they were able to move to 4-0 on the year. 

Andover Central outgained Goddard 453-173, including 302-27 on the ground. Ashton Barkdull scored three touchdowns and had 158 yards on 30 carries.

Jackson Reese added 97 yards on three carries, while Kai Kunz was 13-of-23 passing for 151 yards. Brock Stupka had 73 receiving yards.

Bishop Carroll bounced back from a loss at Derby by beating host Dodge City 38-23. The Eagles are now 3-1. 

Collegiate moves to 4-0 after a 31-21 win over Hesston

Heights is 3-1 after a 54-20 win over West

Northwest gets back to its winning ways with a 56-0 win over East

Northwest is 2-2. 

Mulvane moved to 2-2 after beating Circle 28-14. Mulvane opened with losses to Collegiate and Andale but has now won two straight.

Mulvane intercepted Circle four times.

Andover beat Eisenhower in a defensive shutout 19-0 to move to 3-1. 

Garden Plain moves to 3-1 after a win over Douglass 50-14. 

Augusta wins 27-20 over Rose Hill and moves to 3-1. 

Buhler beats El Dorado 28-20 and is 3-1. 

Conway Springs has won three straight after beating Ellinwood 45-13.

Izic Billups scored a 13-yard touchdown in the game’s first 44 seconds. After Derrick Smith put Conway up 14-0, Billups threw for two more touchdowns. He added another 13-yard touchdown.

Billups finished 6-of-9 passing for 116 yards and ran for 85 yards.

Goessel beat Argonia-Attica 44-36. Jake Wiens threw for a touchdown and ran for two more while gaining 151 rushing yards on 14 carries.

Goessel intercepted Argonia-Attica four times.

Xander Newberry led Argonia-Attica with 105 passing yards.
