Cowboy in the Spotlight: Max Filinger – Republic County High School

Max, who just nished his junior year at Republic County, continues to build his resume on various rodeo circuits. Although he picked up rodeo as a freshman, he is involved with the Kansas High School Rodeo Association, Christian Youth Rodeo Association and the United Rodeo Association as a bareback rider.

Max also is involved in much more at the school, including cross country, wrestling, powerlifting, 4H, FBLA and FCA. He’s also an excellent student who enjoys studying history and agriculture, and he’s been on the KHSRA’s academic team the last three years.
