State golf results: Andale, Andover, Buhler top finishers

Class 6A

Hutchinson sophomore Reaghan Martin was the area’s top finisher, and she qualified for the second day of state golf.

Wichita East’s Zoey Lee also advanced to the second day.

Class 5A

Andover senior Madison Slayton finished second in the two-day Class 5A state golf meet.

Andover Central junior Shauna Lee took third.

Kapaun Mount Carmel freshman Alexa Garrett was eighth. Maize South junior Britney Wessley was ninth, while Maize junior Lexie Ridder was 10th.

Maize junior Brooklyn Blasdel, Bishop Carroll freshman Keira Ronsick, Andover junior Alivia Nguyen and Kapaun Mount Carmel junior Abigail Wolff finished in the top 20.

Andover took second in 5A, while Kapaun finished fourth and Maize took sixth.

Class 4A

Andale senior Morgan Brasser won the 4A title two-day total of 158. She won by 10 strokes.

Buhler senior Haley Miller took second and Wellington junior Payton Ginter was fourth. Winfield junior Elly Bertholf finished sixth, Buhler junior Lauren Specht was eighth and Winfield sophomore Chaney Littlell took ninth.

Buhler won the Class 4A team title by 13 strokes, while Andale was third and Winfield fourth.

Class 3-2-1A

Cheney junior Halley Jones was the area’s top finisher at 20th.
