TEAM PREVIEW
Augusta returns 16 starters off last year’s team that defeated Coffeyville in the first round of the 4A playoffs. The Orioles figure to be a run-first offense with second team all-league running back Ryan Andrews (6-0, 215) returning. Augusta also returns second team all-league offensive lineman Zack Timberlake (6-3, 225) and Nate Volkman (6-5, 290), who was honorable mention all-league, to create space for
Andrews. On defense, a pair of defensive backs will be the focal point. Ely Wilcox (6-5, 210) earned second team all-league honors last season, while Duke Lichlyter (6-0, 180) was honorable mention.
