Tonight’s high school basketball scores, stats and recaps (Feb. 8)

Boys

Andale 57, McPherson 39 — Zach Winter had a game-high 20 points and teammates Nathan Nemechek and Seth Reichenberger each had 12 for Andale. Cory Muehler scored 10 to lead McPherosn.

Andover 63, Goddard 36 — Eli Shetlar scored 17 points, Chris Harris 13, Tayten Klein had 11 and Devon Neal-McFarthing made three threes to finish with 11.  Bay scored 13 — hitting three three-pointers — for Goddard.

Andover Central 69, Derby 47 — Derby tied the score at 20-all with 3:28 remaining in the first half on a three by Kaeson Fisher-Brown. But 30 seconds later, Andover Central’s Kobe Smith hit a three-pointer, was fouled and made the free throw. It started a 14-0 run to end the half and the Jaguars’ lead never got below double digits. Smith finished with 21 points, while Chance Gulley hit 6 of 8 shots for 14 points, Skyler Clevenger had 13 points and Brian Perry 10.

Campus 58, Newton 50 — Andrell Burton scored 12 to lead Campus. Joe Slecta had 14 points for Newton.

Cedar Vale-Dexter 39, West Elk 37

Cheney 74, Trinity Academy 44

Clay Center 53, Republic County 35

Collegiate 63, Wellington 55 — Jack Duarte scored 28 points and Wesley Fair had 17 for Collegiate. C. Brown added 12. Wellington was led by Clift’s 14, Hinshaw 11 and Tate 10.

Concordia 58, Riley County 38 — Cav Carlgren had 21 points and 11 rebounds for Concordia, and Tyler Hobrock had 16.

Doniphan West 47, Onaga 43 2OT

El Dorado 72, Mulvane 65 — El Dorado’s Jeremiah Kemboi scored 18 points, Barry Summers had 16 and LJ Berkstresser 15 in the win.  Kaiden Abasolo scored 31 to lead Mulvane, Ian Comer finished with 13.

Great Bend 58, Buhler 50

Heights 64, East 30 — Joe Auer earned his 700th victory as Heights’ coach. Chase Harris scored 17 points, TJ Williams 14 and Marcus Zeigler 10 in Heights’ win. Williams and Harris each had four steals, Dreylin Kemp nine rebounds.

Hesston 53, Hoisington 27

Hillsboro 63, Haven 32  — Brekyn Ratzlaff scored 18 points, hitting five three-pointers, Grayson Ratzlaff had 14 points and Matthew Potucek 12 for Hillsboro. Grayson Ratzlaff also had nine rebounds and four assists, Duncan Duel five assists and Potucek had six rebounds and four steals. Haven’s Z. Kraft had 10 points.

Hutchinson 47, Salina South 38 — Robinson scored 19 to lead Hutchinson.

Independent 48, Conway Springs 35 — Javon Beadles had a game-high 18 points for Independent and Christian Dean 14 in the win. Izic Billups scored 10 to lead Conway Springs.

Kapaun 71, West 49 — Kapaun’s Henry Thengvall scored 24 points, while Will Anciaux, Dominic Shibley and William Thengvall each scored 10. Larry Graham scored 21 to lead West.

Kingman 62, Garden Plain 50

Lakin 73, Scott City 54 — Martinez had 26 points, Gonzalez 25 for Lakin.

Larned 53, Nickerson 40

Maize 65, Maize South 56 — Maize trailed 46-45 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Eagles outscored Maize South 20-10 and Jaden Gustafson scored 11 of his 19 points in the period. Avery Johnson scored 21 points and Kyle Grill 10 for Maize. Isaiah Atwater scored 20 for Maize South, Michael Kates hit four threes for 12 points, and Toby Homan had 12, as well.

Northwest 72, Bishop Carroll 51 — Kee’on Hutton finished with 23 points for Northwest, Kevin Brown 13 and Demarcus Hoover 10. Carroll’s Mikey Brand had 15 points, Walt Gray 13.

Norwich 65, Stafford 35

Pratt 76, Halstead 37 — Shanlia scored 19 and Karter Hoeme 18 in the win.

Remington 38, Berean Academy 30 — Braden Scribner had 15 points to lead Remington.

Sedan 48, Central-Burden 28 — Dameion Hatten scored 12, Lyndon Sears 10 for Sedan.

Southeast 54, North 38

SE-Saline 58, Beloit 41

Valley Center 53, Arkansas City 33 — Sam Bass scored 13 pointsand Angel Loza had 10 for Valley Center. Dale Petrie added four assists, Loza eight rebounds and Davin Schmelzle seven rebounds. Trevor Pierce had 14 points, 10 rebounds for Arkansas City.

Cheney 63, Trinity Academy 34 — Campbell Hague scored 17 and Leah Durr 16 in Cheney’s win. Aubrey Winter scored 10 to lead Trinity Academy.

Clay Center 58, Republic County 19

Clearwater 51, Winfield 36 — Elizabeth Tjaden scored 19 points, and Carli Carlson had 11 points, five assists. Brooke Berlin added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Derby 48, Andover Central 23

Doniphan West 61, Onaga 26

Garden Plain 61, Kingman 50 — Ryleigh Stuhlsatz scored a game-high 23 points, hitting 5 of 7 threes, for Garden Plain. Sydney Puetz had 11 points, Brooke Hammond 13 rebounds Kingman’s Wood and Hageman each had 15 points, A. Schreiner 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Great Bend 57, Buhler 38

Haven 54, Hillsboro 49 — Reese Roper had 17 points, hitting 7 of 10 shots and 2 of 3 three-pointers, and Sienna DeFrain scored 12 and had 10 rebounds for Haven. Zaylee Werth scored 15 points, Savannah Shahan 13 and Emersyn Funk 11 for Hillsboro. Werth hit three three-pointers, while Funk had six rebounds.

Heights 56, East 38 — Zyanna Walker scored 25 to lead Heights.

Hesston 37, Hoisington 21

Hugoton 54, Cimarron 49 OT — Mikyn Hamlin had 19 points, Summya Adigun 14, Gianna Vos 12 in the win.

Hutchinson 43, Salina South 19

Kapaun 50, West 28

Maize South 32, Maize 21

Newton 41, Campus 21 — Amaree Henderson led Newton with 16 points, while Tya Tindall scored 11 for Campus.

Nickerson 61, Larned 23 — Nickerson had four players each score 10 points — Josie McLean, Alexis Allen, Destiny Ponds, Kalyse Abernathy.

Pratt 48, Halstead 43 — Walker scored 30 for Pratt, hitting six three-pointers. D. Schutte scored 19 points.

Salina Central 66, Eisenhower 40 — Aubrie Kierscht scored 20 points, Landry Stewart 14, Hampton Williams 12 in Salina Central’s win.

Sedan 48, Central-Burden 28 — Jacie Cummings had a game-high 26 points and Landrea Sears 14 in the victory.

SE-Saline 59, Beloit 51

Mulvane 48, El Dorado 24

Valley Center 43, Arkansas City 29 — Valley Center led 17-15 at the half but outscored Ark City 15-5 in the third period. Halle Brittain led Valley Center with 12 points.

Wellington 69, Collegiate 16 — Airalyn Frame finished with 22 points, and teammates Ali Zeka and Britt Zeka each had 11, Valerie Norwood 10.
