Boys
Championship: Blue Valley Northwest 55, Wichita Heights 50 — BVNW built a 39-21 lead in the third quarter and then had to hold off Heights’ comeback. Heights went on a 16-2 run, which included a 13-0 run, capped by three-pointers from Jordan Alford and Amalachi Wilkins, to get within 41-37 with 4:28 to go. Heights then pulled within 49-43 with 2:13 to go, but it wasn’t enough. Grant Stubblefield, who played all 32 minutes, scored 22 points and had six rebounds, and Jake Fritz had 16 points, three blocks. Heights was led by TJ Williams’ 16 points and five steals, and Marcus Zeigler’s 10 points.
Third place: Derby 67, BV North 66 OT — Kaeson Fisher-Brown hit the game-winning basket with 5.5 seconds to go in overtime. Derby trailed 13-2 in the first six minutes of the game, but chipped away at the lead until a huge third quarter when the Panthers hit seven threes for the 52-42 lead. Derby made 14 of 33 three-pointers, Dallas Metzger was 8 of 12 from three, and Jack Ulwelling hit two, Mason Anderson two and Fisher-Brown and Cooper Chadwick each had one. Metzger finished with 24 points, Fisher-Brown 14, Anderson had eight rebounds. Chadwick and Fisher-Brown each had six assists. BV North’s Blake Garrett had 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. Jaron Lashley had 14 points, nine rebounds.
Girls
Championship: BV North 35, Washburn Rural 34 — Blue Valley North stumbled offensively for much of the first half, falling behind 20-6 before Ashley Alverson, at the 2:41 mark of the second quarter, the team’s first field goal in more than 11 minutes. With 19 seconds remaining, Nyla Hale’s two free throws gave BV North its first lead since the 2:21 mark of the first quarter. Jaliyah Davis had a key block in the final seconds, as well. Logan Parks scored six of her team-high 12 points in the final period. Aubrey Shaw had 11 rebounds. Washburn Rural’s Brooklyn DeLeye scored 14 points and had 12 rebounds, Chloe Carlgren had 10 rebounds.
Third place: Derby 43, Blue Valley 30 — Blue Valley had a 28-22 lead at the half, but Derby’s defense held Blue Valley to two second-half points. Addy Brown had 19 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and two blocks in the win. Jaden Wilson had 12 points. Blue Valley’s Jadyn Wooten scored 16 and Katelyn Sogard had six rebounds.
Class 5A
Boys
Championship: Andover 54, Kapaun 46 — Andover’s BJ Redic scored 16 points, Chris Harris 14 and Blake Rucker 13 in the victory. Harris had 10 rebounds, Eli Shetlar six. Kapaun was led by Will Anciaux, who had 10 rebounds.
Third place: Highland Park 79, Hutchinson 46 — Highland Park’s Jahmir Kingcannon scored a game-high 22 points, hitting 5 of 6 from three, 8 of 10 overall from the field. Bo Aldridge had 16 points, Tre Richardson 14 in the win. JaCorey Robinson had eighth points, six assists. Hutchinson’s Terrell King had 17 points, seven rebounds, four steals.
Girls
Championship: St. Thomas Aquinas 62, Bishop Carroll 56 — Aquinas’ leading scorers were Alexandra Crouse 15, Jamya McPherson 15, Sydney Watts 14, Kelsey Schenck 11. Watts had nine rebounds, McPherson eight rebounds, Catherine Goodwin had eight assists, McPherson five assists, four steals. Carroll’s Landon Forbes scored 24 points and she had four assists. Lillian Martin had four assists, Leah Henke and Laynie Winfrey five rebounds apiece.
Third place: St. James 61, Andover 48 — St. James’ Riley Bruggeman scored a game-high 27 points and had three three-pointers, seven rebounds, three assists. Regan Becker had 11 rebounds. Andover was led by Brooke Walker, who hit 4 of 7 from three and had 24 points. Alana Shetlar had seven rebounds and Amelya Vance hit 2 of 3 from three.
Class 4A
Boys
Championship: Hugoton 67, McPherson 58 — Hugoton’s Dasean Lewis scored 13 of his 18 points in the final period, Carson Bennett had 14, Ryle Riddlesperger 13 and Emmett Gaskill 12 points, eight rebounds. Cory Muehler led McPherson with 22 points, Kyden Thompson 17. Gabe Pyle had four assists and Thompson seven rebounds.
Third place: Bishop Miege 65, Eudora 55 — Bishop Miege’s Mac Armstrong scored 21, Aidan Wing 20 and Daegen Jensen 19 in the win. Wing also had 10 rebounds. Miege made 29 of 38 free throws, Eudora was 0-2. Eudora’s Logan Sullivan scored 15, Cole Parker 13 and Maddox Votaw 11.
Girls
Championship: Miege 67, McPherson 53 — Miege’s Kirston Verhulst scored 27 points, making 14 of 16 free throws, and Grace McCallop had 15 points, Faith McCallop 12. Livi Shull had 10 rebounds, Faith McCallop five steals. McPherson’s Karter Alvord had 17 points, Jordan Sears eight rebounds.
Third place: Hugoton 44, Andale 38 — Hugoton’s Summya Adigun made 6 of 9 shots and scored 16 points and had seven rebounds, four assists. Andale’s Kyri Kerschen scored 10, and McKenzie Fairchild and Jenna Kuepker had six rebounds apiece.
Class 3A
Boys
Championship: Hesston 50, Marysville 44 — Jake Proctor scored 15 points to lead Hesston, along with his five assists. Micah Dahlsten had 11 points and three steals. Marysville’s William Otott had 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and John Lauer scored 10.
Third place: SE-Saline 54, Galena 51 — Eli Sawyers and Luke Gebhart each scored 15 to lead SE-Saline, and Kayson Lilley had 11. Nakari Morrical-Palmer had 10 rebounds, six assists and four players had two steals apiece. Galena’s Tyler Little scored 19 and had nine rebounds, four assists, and Hadley Price 13 points.
Girls
Championship: Goodland 59, Cheney 37 — Goodland’s Talexa Weeter scored 31 and had eight rebounds, and Olivia Lehman had 14 points, six rebounds. Lindsey Cure and Jaxi Mitchek each had five assists, and Mitchek added six steals. Cheney’s Leah Durr had eight rebounds.
Third place: Phillipsburg 58, Silver Lake 45 — Phillilpsburg was led by Heather Schemper, who had 27 points, 11 rebounds and Taryn Sides, who had 18 points, nine assists and four steals. Silver Lake’s Makenzie McDaniel scored 22 and had 14 rebounds, McKinley Kruger had 10 points.

Boys
Championship: Moundridge 66, Independent 46 — Moundridge outscored Independent 22-6 in the fourth quarter. Moundrige’s Landon Kaufman scored 23 points and had six assists, and Logan Churchill scored 19 as they each hit three three-pointers. Independent was led by Connar Harris’ 16 points.
Third place: Medicine Lodge 48, Thomas More Prep 46 — Medicine Lodge’s Derek Randels scored 16, and Jake Fisher and Keveon Ruiz each had 12. Thomas More Prep was led by Dylan Werth’s 20 points, Luke Rome’s 11.

Championship: Greeley County 49, Lebo 46 — Greeley County’s Jaxon Brandl scored 21 points and had six steals, and Valentin Villalobos had 12 points. Lebo’s Zachary Oswald scored 13 and had 15 rebounds, and Grayson Shoemaker had 11 points.
Third place: South Central 59, Axtell 45 — South Central’s Jamie Sarmiento had 18 points, four steals, and Jack Herd and Gavin Uhl each had 10 points. Axtell’s Landon Schmitz had 13 points, Brandon Schmelzle 10 points, seven rebounds, Isaac Detweiler seven rebounds, five assists, four steals and Grady Buessing 13 rebounds.
Girls
Championship: Hanover 59, Lebo 34 — Anna Jueneman scored 20 points, and Massey Holle and Ceegan Atkins each had 12 in the win. Holle had 11 rebounds, Jueneman four steals. Lebo’s Brooklyn Jones scored 16 and Audrey Peek had 13 points, five steals.
Third place: Bucklin 56, Beloit St. John’s-Tipton 51 — Bucklin’s Emmerson Kirk scored 18, Sydnie Jones had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Halie Feikert 10 points.
