Class 5A
Maize freshman Kinslea Jones won the Class 5A individual golf title at Hutchinson’s Carey Park Golf Course. After shooting a 76 in round one, she shot four shots better on the second day and finished with a two-day total of 148.
Kapaun senior Katherine Tilma was three shots behind at 151 to finish second, and freshman Meg Tilma took third with a 154. The Tilmas bettered their round one scores by nine and 10 shots.
Kapaun won the team title, shooting a 636 two-day total, which was 89 shots better than second place Hays. Maize finished fifth as a team.
Kapaun junior Alexa Garrett shot a 162, while Bishop Carroll junior Keira Ronsick shot a 165 and Kapaun senior Eleanora Navaarro shot a 169.
Class 4A
Buhler’s Callie Cooper took third in Class 4A with a 169, and Pratt’s Avery Blasi shot a 170. Winfield’s Chaney Little shot a 172 and teammate Savanna Nickum a 173.
Winfield finished second in Class 4A, one shot behind Wamego.
Class 3-2-1A
Wichita Collegiate freshman Margaret Ulrich won the 3-2-1A title with a two-day total of 151, shooting a 76 and a 75.
Trinity Academy’s Loralai Millspaugh shot a 177 and Cheney’s Kaitlyn Fowler 185.
