Class 6A girls, Class 5A boys and Class 4A girls will be playing for a sub-state title tonight.

These final two days of sub-states are rife with hope, excitement, sadness.

Kapaun 61, Valley Center 42 — Henry Thengvall scored 28 points to lead Kapaun in the win, and Will Anciaux had 14. Noah Simmons scored 12 for Valley Center.

Maize 59, Andover Central 50 — Jaden Gustafson led Maize with 21 points, and Kyle Grill had 14. Kobe Smith scored 33 points for Andover Central.

St. James 52, Basehor-Linwood 35

Sedan 31, Conway Springs 30 — Lyndon Sears got a steal and layup with 10 seconds to go in the win over Conway Springs.

Derby 62, East 19 — Destiny Smith hit 4 of 4 three-pointers in the second quarter as Derby went on a 33-4 run in the first half. Smith finished with 23 points and Maryn ARcher had 12.
