Augusta’s Kendra Gresham – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by The Holiday Bowl

Augusta bowler Kendra Gresham is hoping a new addition will pay off for her this season.

“One area I want to improve on is figuring out how to throw my new bowling ball on the wood lanes that I practice on,” Gresham said. “I have been going to the bowling alley with my parents and have been trying to move my spot on my approach for my special effect bowling ball.”

Now that she is a senior, Gresham is wanting to soak up all the special moments with her teammates.

“I am also excited about making fun and good memories for my senior year with all of my friends who will be on the team with me this year,” Gresham said.

Gresham has spent countless hours on not just bowling, but trying to improve her strength.

“The things that I have been doing in the offseason…I have been in my semester weights class, going to the bowling alley, and practicing for about an hour to an hour and a half,” Gresham said.

Being a state qualifier the past two seasons, Gresham is wanting to add more state appearance in 2026. Last season she finished 13th at the 4-1A Tournament, while the Orioles took seventh as a team.

“Some goals that I have for myself are going to state three years in a row, placing in the top three in regionals again this year, and having the girls go to state together again,” Gresham said.
