Reece Riedel – Mill Valley
A Multi-Talented Guard
Mill Valley’s state-level aspirations are again tied to the multi-layered game of senior guard Reece Riedel. At 6-foot-5, he gives the Jaguars a rare blend of size and guard skills, capable of scoring at all three levels and initiating offense in tight games.
Head coach Kurt Bangle described him as “by far one of the best players in Kansas City if not the best,” noting that Riedel will be a three-year starter and four-year letterwinner with a real chance to enter the school record books. Last season he averaged 17.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, earning first-team All-Sunflower League and third-team All-State honors in one of the state’s toughest leagues.
For a program coming off back-to-back state trips and a recent third-place finish, Riedel’s shot-making, versatility, and big-game experience give Mill Valley a go-to option capable of carrying stretches of play against top 6A competition.
