Buhler High School’s Khloe Blackwell, a member of the Class of 2026, has spent her fall season doing what she loves most, running cross country, connecting with her teammates, and pushing herself to be her best. As a dedicated athlete who also competes in track and field each spring, Blackwell entered this season with one main goal: to enjoy every moment. “I really wanted to make myself proud and push myself the best I could,” she shared with Vype Magazine.

For Blackwell, cross country is about more than her times and placements; it’s about the friendships and memories built along the way. “I love my team and interacting with them,” she said. “I looked forward to getting closer with everyone and connecting with new people on the team.”

Her preparation for the season began months earlier, with summer practices and a cross country camp in Iowa that helped the team bond and stay in shape. Those experiences strengthened both her endurance and her sense of camaraderie.

One of Blackwell’s proudest achievements remains her personal record from her junior year. A time of 23:35.60, which is a milestone that showed her how much her hard work had paid off.

Looking ahead, Blackwell plans to attend Hutchinson Community College after graduation in the spring to complete her general studies before deciding on a major and career path. Whether on the course or in the classroom, Khloe Blackwell approaches each step with determination, positivity, and gratitude for the team that has supported her journey.
