At Caney Valley High School, junior Molleigh Kaminska is stepping into the new basketball season with purpose, confidence, and a faith-driven mindset. A versatile and dependable forward, Kaminska is determined not only to elevate her game but also to be a positive force for everyone around her.
For Kaminska, basketball is deeply connected to her beliefs. “My first goal is to always be a light for Jesus,” she says. “Without my faith, I am nothing.” She hopes her teammates, opponents, and community can see that light through her actions, leadership, and sportsmanship. On the court, her goals include being the best teammate possible and doing everything she can to enhance the team’s success. Ultimately, the Bullpups want to win games and have fun doing it.
Kaminska is especially excited for the St. Paul tournament and the chance to face new competition this year.
Her offseason was filled with meaningful work. She stayed active by joining a travel team, attending the Pitt State team camp, and participating in three team workouts a week, all of which sharpened her skills and boosted her confidence.
Her hard work showed last season, when she averaged an impressive 8.5 points and 11 rebounds per game, production she is rightfully proud of. As for her future, Kaminska is still undecided.
Off the court, she is one of Caney Valley’s most involved students, participating in Circle of Pups, KAY, FCCLA, FCA, Volleyball, Softball, STUCO, NHS, and serving as the Class of 2027 Student Body President. Her leadership, dedication, and positivity make her a standout in every role she takes on.
