Garden Plain senior volleyball and basketball player Jaicey Stuhlsatz chose to volunteer and host a hygiene drive at her high school because helping others is something she is passionate about.
“I like to volunteer and help those in need,” Stuhlsatz said. “Simply Hygiene gave me that opportunity and it opened me up to seeing what all goes on behind the scenes.”
Stuhlsatz said Simply Hygiene has inspired her to become a better person and provide the same kind of guidance to others.
“Not only is it an amazing drive that helps so many people and organizations but it is also run by people who care,” Stuhlsatz said. “When I helped out this stuck out to me and it was heartwarming to see and be a part of. This experience has pushed me to be a better person and has fueled my drive to be a more active member of my community.”
Stuhlsatz said many people inspired her throughout her high school career, starting with Lance Gordon.
“Thank you to Lance Gordon for all the volunteering opportunities he offers to us students,” Stuhlsatz said. “I also want to say thank you to all my coaches who have supported me and taught me to be a hard worker and a resilient person. I am so thankful for every team I have been a part of that has taught me to be a team player and why it’s important to show up for others.”
